The hotel's rooftop pool, heated for winter comfort, offered panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean that are simply breathtaking, especially during sunset. Our room was spacious, with a kitchenette that allowed us to whip up some local delicacies, making our stay just that much more enjoyable and authentic. The location is ideal, as we could stroll to the nearby beach in under ten minutes, and the charming promenade made for lovely evening walks. I was also particularly impressed by the attentive and friendly staff, who remembered my breakfast preferences and greeted us with a welcome glass of Madeira wine - a nice touch that made us feel at home. Breakfast was abundant, the local fruits were a refreshing start to our day, and who could resist a touch of Prosecco alongside strawberries? I found the Terrace Mar Suite Hotel to be a charming spot that balances comfort with accessibility to Funchal's attractions. It's a perfect choice for those seeking an authentic taste of Madeira while enjoying modern amenities. Would absolutely recommend it for an enjoyable stay!
